5 Tracks #1

When listening to music I go through stages, sometimes Rock sometimes Hip-Hop, sometimes alternative etc. However I also go back stages and listen to tracks from ages ago

These tracks are just my favourite tracks of that particular week. So for week commencing 17/11/14:

1. Bounce - Logic: This is my favourite track on his new debut, it is just a classic club banger with that catchy hook in the middle of it, the song is well produced and has the consistency of every element. Explosive

2. Bad Religion - Frank Ocean: Obviously Channel Orange came out in 2012 but the album is still a classic, in fact I recently got a physical copy as an attempt to increase my CD collection, bad religion is rather controversial due to subjective analysis of the meaning, however this means nothing to me and I praise Frank Ocean for his thought provoking lyricsm, the song is also a chill out song it doesn't involve any large bass drums but just smoothing church organ chords. Chilled

3. Jesus of Suburbia - Green Day: Green Day have always been up there with my favourite rock bands, American Idiot being my best work from them, Jesus of Suburbia obviously isn't new however it's a song that has always been my favourite since I got into rock music when I started playing drums at 12 (I need to go back to that). The song is just perfect in describing its concept and has the chords and drums that make you want to rebel. Fist-Pumping

4. Clan In Da Front - Wu Tang Clan - This song is a classic, RZA's production on this track is fantastic, the way the horrific sounding chords match the distorted but classic beats with the amazing rap skills from GZA make a creative, amazing hip hop anthem that I play over and over. Crazy.

5. Up, Up & Away - Kid Cudi - The psychedelic anthem is one of those songs that you know is at the end of the album, those songs that deliver hopeful and victorious messages. However this is not one of these songs. It sounds like that but it actually has messages of not  not caring about life, hence the title up up & away which probably has references to weed. Cudi in this song is powerful and it is a good way to end an album. Anthem

And if you are listening to these tracks just know that Tomification Said so
